I was saying recently that the easiest way to know what our mission is is to follow our bliss.
As I’ve heard it said, the Mother wants Gaia to be a joyful Garden of Eden again. Why then would she assign missions to lightworkers that are unpleasant or objectionable? I don’t think she would. (1)
Activities that inspire your bliss and your mission for her are almost certainly the same.
I can not only illustrate that from my own life, but show that Archangel Michael, my boss and co-partner, agrees.
My bliss is to be an awareness writer. Which is just what I am. And here is Michael saying that that fits exactly with what they want.
“We know that you are a writer and that this is also the joy that you have within you…. We would never wish to curtail that.” (2)
So, one awareness writer reporting for duty, sir. Where will they use me? Michael tells me I’m to play the role of Everyman in Gaia’s Ascension, going up gradually with everyone else and writing about it:
“Everyman … is part of the role you play. Yes, you are a pillar. You are an anchor. You’re an informant (2) but you’re also playing the role of Everyman – with curiosity, with exploration, with insight. Our desire is not to separate you from the collective.” (3)
Or on another occasion:
“We do not ask you to veer away from being a writer but we want you to write what you feel moved to write.
“That core of who you are and how you communicate the love does not change.” (4)
As far as I’m concerned that’s an open invitation to an awareness writer to do what he does for pleasure for his job. This is not work. Who could be happier?
What does he mean by not separating myself from the collective? Well, the answer there is important to know as well.
We lightworkers are here to serve. Given that we’ve already ascended in other lifetimes, if we surge ahead, we may find ourselves enlightened to such a degree that we become incapable of serving. We discussed the matter here:
Archangel Michael: When you use the term [i.e., ask for] “dramatic enlightenment experiences,” you are talking about Nirvana. You are talking about the unity of all with One.
It is not to say that you will not experience that, but you cannot ― well, you can if you wish, if it is [your] choice to simply remain in that state of unity, of One ― but you cannot be fully conscious and in service, in action, if that is where you are.
So it is a toning down [that we do], if anything. It really is the middle ground. It is the intersection. It is the place where the third is not a memory, but it is not a burden.
And you see with clarity the old dis-illusions and you see with clarity the sense of oneness. You know that enlightenment is right there in front of you. It is yours to access. But, if you are in service [as we all are], you will not choose to live there.
SB: That’s the kind of difficult distinction that I’ve been trying to make, that something will be happening spiritually, yes, but it won’t be happening in a way that ends our ability to serve.
AAM: That is exactly correct.
SB: All right.
AAM: You can think of it as keeping two feet firmly on the ground. (5)
On another occasion, he explained that they don’t want to overload me because I might not then be able to write about the experience, tacitly confirming the soul agreement between us.
Keep in mind that, in classical studies, a person who would leave a spiritual experience in the middle of it to write about it was seen as a fool. Giving up the non-dual state for dualistic benefits? Who would do such a thing. But for a lightworker, it’s part of the job:
“The last thing we wish to do is to incapacitate you. The entire purpose of these various waves and integrations, of which there have been several, is that you come to know and feel very comfortable and inviting to these energies. Then it becomes something that is delightful and integrated in a way that is of joy, rather than overwhelm.
“Now have there been moments of overwhelm? Yes, but [we don’t] leave you overwhelmed. If you were to be pushed or pulled too strongly, then you would have difficulty in being able to write about it.” (6)
On still another occasion I asked him to clarify if I could ascend early or not and he replied that it wasn’t the plan.
Steve: Should I be orienting toward ascending early or not? I have this sense that I’m supposed to be here.
AAM: You’re supposed to be here.
S: So it’s not my lot to go early.
AAM: If you sit with me and you ask of me to come right away, then of course, I will work with you, such is my love for you. But that has not been our plan.
S: No. … Well, I understand that I’m supposed to be doing what I’m doing. I don’t want to go against the plan.
AAM: Then stay put, dear heart. (7)
This lifetime is about service. We’re waiters at the banquet of Ascension. So I’m fine with these arrangements.
Let me recap: They’ve taken an awareness writer, given him a plethora of wonderful spiritual experiences, and all they ask in return is that he write about them. Where’s the downside?
Heart opening, vision, realizations – this territory to me is like Hawaii or the French Riviera might be to some people.
So where I’m intended to be and where I intended myself to be exactly coincide, as long as I’m following my bliss.
At one point Michael brought home to me that I needed to actually spend time in spiritual practice, maintaining contact with the bliss, which is the divine quality I’m most attracted to as a path to enlightenment:
“You have had a lot of physical, practical things that have eliminated the time and the spaciousness, the feeling that you can take time to really be in the bliss but it is absolutely necessary, my brother. So make the time.” (8)
The minute we settle for any of the baser qualities like greed, righteousness, or jealousy, the Mother – in the form of bliss, love, joy, etc. – disappears. Without a word of goodbye or a forwarding address. “I thy Lord am a jealous God.”
As long as I follow my bliss, it turns out that I’m right where I’m intended to be (the Divine Plan) and right where I intended myself to be (my plan).
